Slash says his upcoming album, World On Fire, is more of a "produced" record than his previous release.
The rocker tells BraveWords.com the new disc was recorded live -- just like Apocalyptic Love. But he explains that there are "no over-dubs or layering or any kind of studio techniques" on the last album, and with "Fire" he "wanted to do guitar harmonies and double up parts and just create sounds."
Slash adds that with all the touring they've done in recent years he and Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators have "naturally evolved" as a band, which is evident in the musicianship and songwriting on the new album.
Slash and the band have unveiled the cover art and track listing for World On Fire, which will be in stores on September 15th. The title track will be released to radio next month, and serve as the disc's lead-off single.
World On Fire Track listing:
"World on Fire"
"30 Years to Life"
"Bent to Fly"
"Too Far Gone"
"Beneath the Savage Sun"
"Iris of the Storm"
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will launch their summer tour with a show in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on July 9th. The following night they'll kick off their trek with Aerosmith in Wantagh, New York.
