97-Year-Old Veteran Relives D-Day Jump From Plane

Tom Rice, a 97-year-old Army Paratrooper veteran, jumped out of a plane today in Normandy.

75 years ago on June 6, 1944, he did the exact same thing in the same location playing a role in D-Day. He was with the 101st Airborne Division as they parachuted into Nazi-occupied France at night and under fire.

After 6 months of training, Mr. Rice requested that he would be able to pull a handle to release a giant American flag. Tom is currently a resident of Coronado, California.

How cool is that? Congrats Tom!
