The video, captured in Guiyang City in southwestern China's Guizhou Province on June 5, shows individuals taking pictures of the unusual specimen laying on the ground. The species of fish is believed to be a grass carp. It was released in the end. A neighborhood expert informed Chinese press that the phenomenon occasionally happens during the growth process. The expert speculated that the fish's eggs could have gotten damaged at the time of embryonic development.
