Listener Brittany reminded us that TODAY is the the Firefighter Boot Drive
Hi Bob & Coe, On Thursday, March 1 local firefighters will be hitting the streets to collect money in their boots during the AM commute to support the Burn Institute. 30 different fire departments will be at over 100 intersections around San Diego County and I was hoping we could do a little pre-warning on KGB about the event either tomorrow (2/28) or day of (3/1) to give listeners a heads up that there might be some traffic back-up and to be extra careful when driving at intersections the firefighters are posted up at. If we could remind them to bring their cash that day too, that would be awesome J All the donations collected stay here locally in San Diego and help support our fire & burn prevention education and burn survivor support programs.
