It's Plant a Tree Day in San Diego Sat. Sept 28th!

Get your hands dirty and do something good for nature this fall!

Join One Tree Planted and the San Diego River Park Foundation in vital tree care along the mouth of the San Diego River!

Celebrate Plant a Tree Day and National Public Lands Day by spending your Saturday morning soaking up the sunshine and coastal breeze while you help save and restore one of the last remaining Coastal Dune and Wetland Habitats in San Diego! Over 95% of these habitat areas no longer exist in California. Home to many endangered birds, fish and mammals this area needs your help to remain as a viable habitat area.

We will be assisting with invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, litter removal, plant watering and care of recent plantings. Additionally, we will provide an educational ecology tour to better connect attendees with the work and help them to think critically about the relationship between people and nature. Come join us in this fun day of tree care!

Meeting point:Volunteers will meet in the grassy area just inside the Dog Beach parking lot in Ocean Beach at the western end of Voltaire Ave.The closest physical address is 5142 W Point Loma Blvd, but please be aware that this is not the exact location of the event.
