San Diego's Rebecca Jade sings on stage with Sir Elton John at the 2020 Academy Awards. It was so cool seeing Rebecca right there singing backing vocals to a crowd of well over 1 billion viewers around the world. It was a wonderful night for Elton John and his lyricist Bernie Taupin as they take home an Oscar. It was for BEST ORIGINAL SONG for Rocketman. Prior to the Oscar win, Elton John performed on stage. Rebecca Jade is a San Diegan who has worked and is working with local bands around town to her solo work. She is on a path to huge success. She is the current most sought after background vocalist in the business. She also tours with Sheila E. We will see more of Rebecca Jade in the months and years to come. She makes San Diego proud.
