Crimson is a 3-4 yr old, 40lb Shar Pei/boxer mix who came to No Wagging Tail Left Behind from Mexico with a litter of puppies. She is such a good Momma dog that she even took care of two other orphaned pups like they were her own.
Since weaning the pups, Crimson has taken the last few months at the rescue for some "Me time". Crimson had a pretty rough start to life on the streets of Mexico, she was malnourished and pretty cut up, and as a result, it took me some time for her to come out of her shell and start to trust the volunteers at the rescue, now she can't get enough of their kisses and cuddles.
Crimson does experience separation anxiety when apart from humans, and it takes her some time to warm up to men. Her foster Momma thinks the world of her and has worked hard with the help of a trainer to overcome some of her fears, but Crimson will need a home with humans who understands how important it is to continue her training and who will give her the time to work through some of her issues. In return Crimson will give you all her love and plenty of cuddles and kisses.
