The Eagles' "Hotel California" remains a phenomenon over 40 years after it was first released.
Hotel California remains one of the best-selling albums of all-time, and this fall the band is releasing a 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, featuring a remastered version of the album, plus previously unreleased live performances, rare photos, etc.
Among those rare live recordings is audio from the band's 1976 three-night stand at the Los Angeles Forum in October 1976, including one of the first-ever performances of the song "Hotel California" listen to it below:
The album of the same name was released in December of 1976. It stayed at #1 for eight weeks in the U.S., sold 32 million copies worldwide, won two Grammy Awards and produced two #1 singles, "New Kid in Town" and the six-and-a-half-minute epic "Hotel California."
The 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Hotel California will be released November 2.
