David Lee Roth might be heading to Las Vegas.
With Van Halen's apparent summer touring plans (and potential Vegas residency) off the table for now, Roth might bring his solo act to a Sin City stage.
"I just pursued this, I was over at the House of Blues yesterday," Roth told Hollywood Life in a recent interview. "There's lots and lots of people requesting."
Roth and Vegas are a natural fit. In recent years, Roth's solo performances are clearly influence by Vegas-style showmanship and camp. Roth is a crooner and an entertainer at heart and would surely revel in the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his Rat Pack heroes.
He assured fans that his live show would "transcend neighborhoods" and appeal to everybody.
"You can have dreadlocks or a crew cut, you can wear a military uniform to work or you can wear a bikini to work, and you know what David Lee Roth brings to the proceedings," he added.
Ultimate Classic Rock reminds us that Roth previously did a Vegas residency in 1995, long before it was routine for rockers to do so.
At the time, Roth's 14-piece live band included guitar greats Nile Rodgers and Edgar Winter.
Roth recently collaborated with DJ Van Buuren on an official dance remix of Van Halen's "Jump." You can listen to it below.
