Meet Chimi, a 1-1/2 year old, 45 pound, male, Bassett Hound / Terrier mix. Chimi has been bounced around. His original owner moved and couldn’t take him, so they surrendered him to a rescue. He was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program. Chimi was adopted with another dog, but they were both returned when the homeowners association told the owner they could not keep the dogs.
He’s shy. He needs patient owners and might like having a dog friend in his home.
The $145 adoption fee for Chimi includes medical exams, vaccinations, neuter, registered microchip, and a free one-year license if his new home is within the jurisdictions controlled by San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.
