A large water transmission line break that happened Saturday morning in the 5400 block of Governor Drive has resulted in low water pressure in multiple parts of San Diego. Authorities are asking residents in these areas to limit use until further notice:

  • Bay Park
  • Clairemont
  • Kearny Mesa
  • Linda Vista

Residents of these areas are asked to use water sparingly and only for critical things like cooking and drinking. Laundy, yard, and other non-critial tasks should be postponed until further notice.

In addition, the City of San Diego issued a "boil water" notice for roughly 600 Tierrasanta residents as a result of the leak. The city expects full service to resume by August 12, 2022.
