Shy Pup Is Looking For His First Real Home

Oryx Rancho Coastal Humane Society

Adopt a pet in San Diego: Rescue dogs and cats up for adoption are featured in partnership with the Rancho Coastal Humane Society animal shelter.

This puppy is a 4-month old Australian Cattle Dog Mix, who has never had a real home. His name is Oryx and he and his sister are up for adoption at the Rancho Coastal Human Society.

Oryx is already a big boy at 31 pounds but he's still a puppy who is shy until he gets to know you. Once Oryx is comfortable with you, he happily wags his tail with his whole body to show you how much he likes you.

As part of our weekly PET ADOPTION WEEKLY SEGMENT (PAWS), we're hoping you or someone you know will be interested in making Oryx a part of the family.  Learn more about Oryx.  PAWS is brought to you by Nick Adamo’s Farmer’s Insurance Agency.

There’s a $50, refundable, training deposit for puppies 6 months and younger.

The $195 adoption fee for Oryx includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org.Kennels and Cattery open 11 AM to 5 PM every day except Tuesday.

Nick Adamo is a huge dog lover and animal advocate. He started partnering with Rancho Coastal Humane Society two years ago because RCHS’ main goal is to encourage adoption of animals into permanent, loving homes. RCHS’ adoption process is tailored to find the best match between people and pets and also promote humane ideals through education and community outreach pets and people. Nick is proud to support Rancho Coastal Humane Society and all that they do for animals.
