I can hardly believe that Paul O'Neill is gone. He's been my friend since we met when we were both in our 20's in the New York club scene. It's not just that he was the visionary behind Trans Siberian Orchestra, magnifying the meaning of Christmas to millions, but rather how he lived his life. I think Paul was always slightly uncomfortable becoming a multi-millionaire, so he gave others (friends and strangers) lavish gifts. Not to show off, but rather to spread a little joy. It wasn't uncommon for Paul to give a mother and daughter in need a hundred dollars out of his pocket. Randomly. Just wanted to share hundred dollar bills with those in need. Handed out bottles of Dom by the case backstage as thank yous. Paul wanted to make everyone's life better any way he could. So many of us will miss him.
