We are back on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 for the 7th Edition of the Jim Rider 10K Fun Run/Walk for charity! Once again, we will also have a 5K option for those interested in that distance. We are back at Shelter Island this year and are planning a fun finisher's party at Eppig Brewing Waterfront Biergarten. We plan to cap the event at 80 onsite participants, so claim your spot today! We also have the virtual runner/walker option if you are unable to make it onsite and you will still get your event giveaway mailed to you.
This year, I am proud to partner again with the Cheetah Charity Runners (www.cheetahcharityrunners.org) Proudly Supporting the Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF) (www.enfhope.org). I am on a continued mission to fight cancer and support those in need. The goal of the ENF is to assist families with children who are battling childhood leukemia and other forms of childhood cancer. ENF provides programs and services for low-income, underprivileged families whose children are battling cancer in San Diego and nearby communities. Their flagship program, Ride with Emilio, is a transportation service, taking families to the hospital for their child's chemo, radiation or other important medical appointments. The Cheetah Charity Runners are proud to raise funds to support this amazing foundation.
Date: Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 - Check-in at 7:00am, Race Begins Promptly at 8:00am
Location: Shelter Island - Parking next to the Bali Hai Restaurant on the east side of the island (near 2230 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA 92106).
Course: This is not a closed course event. Portions of the run/walk course will be on sidewalks and traffic rules apply when crossing intersections and driveways. The 10K course is a double loop on Shelter Island. The 5K course is a single loop.
Cost: $25 per person - All onsite participants will receive a race bib, a special finisher's giveaway item and finish line food and beverages. Virtual participants will receive their finisher's giveaway item mailed to them (please make sure to include a shipping address).
Awards: I will have special awards for the Top Male and Top Female Finisher of the official 10K distance.
Onsite Registration -We will accept a small number of race day registrations, as long as we do not reach our cap. Race Day registration will be $30.
