Join us to help makeover Center City Market!
About this Event
UC San Diego Center for Community Health (based in City Heights) works with small neighborhood food markets to improve access to good food in San Diego. We're partnering with Center City Market, a small East African food market in City Heights, to beautify and improve the exterior. Join us for a day of planting, building, painting, and art making as we strive to help small businesses in City Heights thrive!
Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome and appreciated. We request children under 13 years old be supervised by an accompanying adult 100% of the time. Young adults ages 13-17 may participate unaccompanied with a waver* signed by a guardian ahead of time.
Lunch and water will be provided for registered volunteers. We politely suggest bringing a reusable water bottle to minimize waste.
