Free and Low-Cost Pet Services Event in South Bay

PAWS San Diego Helps Keep Pets with their Families and Out of Shelters

What: PAWS San Diego joins San Diego City Council member Vivian Moreno (District 8) to bring

this community pet event to the Robert Egger Sr. South Bay Community Park on Saturday, Sept. 28. Families will have access to free and low-cost pet supplies and services, including vaccinations, microchipping and dog licensing.

PAWS San Diego, a safety net program offered by San Diego Humane Society, helps people and pets stay together by providing essential services. PAWS San Diego offers pet food and supplies like flea medication, vouchers to assist with veterinary bills, transportation to vet appointments, dog walking and referrals.

The community pet event is family-friendly and will include:

 Free pet supplies

 Low-cost spay/neuter appointments from Animal Welfare Foundation

 On-site spay and neuter surgeries provided by Spay-Neuter Action Project (SNAP)

 Free vaccinations and microchipping for dogs and cats

 Free licensing for dogs (need proof of rabies vaccination)

 Free pet behavior and training tips

When: Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
