Drivers Hit With Fines After Grammar Blunder on Parking Signs [PHOTO]

A town's government has been slammed after confused drivers were fined due to a missing period.

Drivers in an England town have been left scratching their heads after signs appeared to say: ‘No parking enforcement in operation.’

A number of residents believed the sign meant they are allowed to park there. But the poorly punctuated sign was intended to inform motorists no parking is allowed, and enforcement is in effect under coronavirus measures.

As a result, fines have been dished out to people who have wrongly interpreted the warning.

Once the error was spotted the signs were corrected and have been replaced.
