In a catch that would make even the most seasoned fisherman envious, a group of teens have reeled in a 700-pound bluefin tuna off the coast of Maine.
Martin Scanlan, 16, Griffin Buckwalter, 16, and Wyatt Morse, 17, caught the freakishly large fish earlier this month near Portland, they say. After the tuna took the bait, it fought the young fishermen for seven hours before they were finally able to reel it in. "The thing popped out of the water and I was completely shocked," says Buckwalter. "It was just enormous."
After sharing photos of their impressive catch online, the trio was contacted by a seafood distribution company in Portland, which paid them $2,000 for the tuna.
