Long Distance Runner Celebrates Victory Too Soon [VIDEOS]

Ethiopian distance runner Hagos Gebrhiwet experienced the thrill of victory followed immediately with the agony of defeat!
Gebrhiwet was leading the 5000-meter when he celebrated what he thought was a victory. The bell for the last lap was ringing right in his face but he went to the side to wave to the crowd before realizing in horror that he’d made a grave mistake!
Gebrhiwet, the bronze medalist in this event at the 2016 Olympics, finished tenth, nine seconds behind first.
