Meet Scratch…a 3-year-old kitty who has been at Friends of Cats shelter since August 2016.
His previous family turned him into the shelter when they moved, and sadly, nearly 7 months later, he’s still there. Scratch is an extremely sweet and playful boy, who loves to sit in laps. He’d be a great companion for the right family, and is so patiently waiting for his forever home! He got his name, by the way, because when he plays, he looks like he’s scratching at the air. His adoption fee is just $75, and like all adoptable cats at the shelter, he’s tested for diseases, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Plus, he comes with a free vet visit! Friends of Cats is a no-kill shelter in El Cajon dedicated to providing shelter and medical care to abandoned cats and those whose owners are unable to care for them. There are 270 cats there at any given time. About half are adoptable, and the other half are in their sanctuary. Please come visit Scratch and the rest of the kitties at the shelter at 15587 Olde Highway 80 in El Cajon, just east of Lake Jennings Park Road. They’re open Tuesday through Sunday 10 to 3:30.
