California College Student Created ‘Banana Plug’ App To Sell Drugs
A California university student was indicted for allegedly producing a cell phone app in which he distributed drugs, authorities said. Collin Howard, 18, was arrested by the police on federal government drug charges Friday after a grand jury indicted the student on Thursday, the U S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California stated in a news release. A freshman at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Howard allegedly developed an app known as“Banana Plug,” that was offered on the Apple App Store using the motto, “We Have What You Want.” By means of the app , the college student promoted to sell cocaine, “Molly”as well as“Shrooms,” and also offered clients unique demands, prosecutors claimed.
