Evanger's Food for Pet is expanding a recall after a euthanasia drug was found in some of their products.
In early February, the company announced that at least five dogs had become sick after eating their best-selling Hunk of Beef dog food. At least one of those dogs died due to the "potential contaminant pentobartbital."
The chemical was later traced to one batch of food which Evanger's believed contained tainted meat, reports People magazine.
The products begin recalled have expiration dates of June 2020. They were sold in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and many other states.
