The DSC Show for Tuesday 6/4/19: S&M Date Gone Bad, Greatest Songs of All Time, Safe Words and more!
Listen to the podcast below.
Here are some of the things we learned today on The DSC Show on KGB-FM.
An S & m date went really really wrong. A guy in a ball gag says he couldn't yell for help and at first thought getting shoved in the closet was part of the fantasy. But it wasn't. He was robbed of $3,000. Details here.
Dave took a survey of our crew and found only one in six of us has ever used a safe word. That made him wonder how widespread the practice was among audience members. We did a 'Ten Listener Poll' asking,"Do you participate in S&m?" It was 5-5 with 21 bandits and one kid asking "what's a safe word?" Finally, one more call came in with the listener saying 'no' he never had a safe word, making the final score 6-5 - which is MUCH kinkier than our crew at 5 no's and 1 yes.
The San Diego Padres front office is still taking heat from the bee lovers who are angry that the bees on the field at Petco Park were killed instead of removed in alternate ways. The game was shut down for half an hour yesterday while a swarm of bees were terminated.
Meanwhile, Manny Machado hit a grand slam home run yesterday, helping the Padres beat the Phils 8-2! They play again tonight and tomorrow night at Petco Park. Get tickets here.
A-Rod was photographed sitting on the toilet last month. We aren't sure why, but he has no curtain in his bathroom in his NYC high rise apartment. He said he wouldn’t sue the photographer, and was glad it was him rather than his children or J-Lo. Do you have the right to privacy to pee in your own house without being photographed?
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are 'hanging by a thread.' She wants to party and he’s practically a monk. Just not a good match. Supposedly, they're trying to make it work because they have a baby.
We're giving away tickets to the iHeart Music Festival in Vegas! Get the line up, tickets and all the details here.
Jeopardy James really did lose yesterday. People are upset that the news was leaked before the show aired. James was just short of the record $2.52 million won by Ken Jennings 15 years ago. But James set the record for the most money won in one episode, holds the second spot on the list and the next 14. Eleven times during his winning streak, he went a whole game without buzzing incorrectly.
Miley Cyrus has new music dropping which includes a condom. It's a $20 condom, but it includes a download of her new sex positive album. She has some other new mech here. She also has some weird messages recorded on a 'Catirific hotline" for your amusement. You can listen to them here.

Do you wash new clothes before you wear them?
Our crew had a split decision on this.
- Dave - no, but his wife will if she gets them first
- Emily - yes
- Ruth - no
- Boyer - no
- Chain - yes
- Sarah - no
- Listener Rick says yes because he saw a dude in the store have a sneezing fit, and wiped his hands on a nearby rack of clothes.
- Listener Carrie - when trying on pants, she wears full coverage undies so she doesn’t get her stuff next to the material and doesn’t pull her pants all the way up so nothing touches.
- Listener April - tried on white jeans. After she took them off, she saw a blood stain that wasn’t hers. Now she wears granny panties when she tries on clothes.
- Listener Dina - unplanned shopping trip - went commando. Bought some undies first.
- Listener Daniel said his friend in the textile industry says if you’ve seen what he’s seen, you’d wash first too!
Listener Claire says she’s literally seen some s*** in retail!
