Overturned Tanker Truck Unleashes A Massive Explosion Of Fire Outside A Panda Express Restaurant In California
Cellphone video from an Atwater, California resident shows the moment after a tanker truck overturned outside a Panda Express restaurant, releasing a rolling torrent of fire and smoke. The explosion took place at Applegate and Highway 99 around 10am on Tuesday morning.
"It sounds like he was exiting the freeway at Applegate, probably going too fast. There are skid marks out there to indicate that," CHP spokesperson Eric Zuniga said.
Unfortunately, the truck driver did not survive.
