Elementary school teacher drags autistic 9-year-old boy down a hallway!
A Greenup, Kentucky school district announced a statement on Monday regarding an elementary school teacher captured on video dragging an autistic student down a hallway. Greenup County Schools Superintendent Sherry Horsley stated the individual will no longer be teaching at the elementary school.
The teacher, Trina Abrams, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor assault. The judge ruled that she cannot work in a school setting or around children unsupervised. She is due back in court on February 20, 2019, for a pretrial hearing, a judge stated.
"When you send your child to school you want them to be safe," the mother stated. "The teacher is the farthest thing you should worry about."
