Today is National Spaghetti Day!
National Spaghetti Day is the day we celebrate that time honored tradition of pasta and your pick of sauce. Whether, its long or thin, the Italian/Sicilian dish is a worldwide favorite for millions. The dishes vary based on the spaghetti, and the sauce, but traditionally its served topped with grated hard cheeses like Pecorino Romano, Parmesan, and Grana Padano.
In 2009, the world record for the largest bowl of spaghetti was set, by a California Buca di Beppo, who filled a swimming pool with more than 13,780 pounds of pasta!
