Scientists have found sharks off the coast of Brazil that have tested positive for cocaine!
Biologists tested 13 Brazilian sharpnose sharks, and found that they tested for high levels of cocaine in their muscles and livers. The research, is the first to find cocaine in sharks, as it's believed cocaine is making its way into the waters from illegal labs that dump packs of cocaine by traffickers at sea.
Bioligists are going to need further research to see whether the cocaine is changing the behaviour of the sharks, but previous shows that drugs likely have similar effects on animals as they do on humans.
Careful when you surf in Brazil, last thing you want in your life is a strung out shark.
