Lightning Strikes SUV's Antenna, Leaves 7-foot Gash in Pavement

A man driving in Florida is uninjured after lightning struck his SUV on Monday.

The man was driving in a windstorm when lightning struck the antenna of his SUV.

The strike from the antenna down to the highway pavement left a seven-foot long gash in the road.

The driver identified as Ernesto Delhonte told reporters, "I saw a light and ... I don't know what happened. But I survived. I am alive. It's a miracle for me."
