A visitor at a Utah reptile center leaped into action when an alligator pulled an employee into its enclosure and begin thrashing her around.
That visitor was able to pin the gator down and listened as the employee calmly explained how to free her from the animal’s locked jaws.
Shane Richins, the company’s owner, said the handler underwent surgery and is taking antibiotics. The West Valley City business said Sunday she is “doing well and is in recovery.”
