An man was arrested after threatening staff and refusing to leave a Holiday Inn in Westlake, Ohio because his credit card was declined.
38-year-old Nicholas Stokel was attempting to use a stolen credit card, and after it was declined he became agitated are refused to leave the premises. Police were called to defuse the situation and when they arrived Stokel told them he had a weapon and threatened them by pointing his hand (encased in a drawstring bag) at them.
Officers were able to apprehend Stokel without violence and found no weapon once his hand was removed from the bag.
Stokel faces criminal charges for being in possession of stolen property, aggravated menacing, and inducing panic.
