We've been asking for years and Apple is finally delivering: the new iOS 18 update will give us the option to schedule out text messages.
I consistently find myself in situations where I want to reply to a message that I missed initially, or didn't have time to reply to, or simply forgot about, but then finally remember and it's an inappropriate time to text back. So you have two options- send the text in the moment at 11pm (or 5am) or hope you remember to reply at a decent hour whenever that comes.
But no longer. The fall rollout of iOS 18 will bring text message scheduling amongst a lot of other cool new features, like bringing your texts to life. You can even add Face ID to specific apps like photos so that someone else with your phone can't go through your pix or other apps alike. Very sad news for the snoops of the world like myself.
