Attention all San Diego high school & college-level Marching Bands - here is an opportunity you need to take & conquer! Metallica is challenging high school and college-level marching bands to a competition using their music.
Bands who enter will have access to the sheet music for 13 songs that Metallica has chosen . . . including "For Whom the Bell Tolls", "Fade to Black", and, of course, "Enter Sandman".
There are five different categories: Collegiate Division 1 ($75,000), Collegiate Division 2 and 3 ($40,000), High School ($15,000), and fan-voting categories for both collegiate and high school ($10,000 each).
Submissions will be narrowed down to five finalists by professional judges, with Metallica choosing the final prize winner. But fan favorite winners will be chosen by fan voting.
Bands must send in their video submissions by November 16th, and voting starts on the 17th.
Winners will receive instruments and equipment for their school's program, and will be announced December 1st. For more information, CLICK HERE!
