Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist, Steve Poltz, was born on February 19, 1960. He is one of the founding members of the indie-rock band The Rugburns and and is well known for his collaborations with singer Jewel, especially the 1996 single, "You Were Meant for Me" that reached number 2 in the charts in the United States.
