OMBAC'S Over-The-Line Tournament Canceled for 2020

Well, you knew it was bound to happen but the iconic Over The Line tournament held in July on Fiesta Island is canceled. Due to the pandemic and the current Stay at Home order it seems very logical to make the decision to postpone until 2021. 67th Annual World Championship Over-The-Line

Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC)

(SAN DIEGO, CA) April 29, 2020— The Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC), in accordance with the health recommendations and initiatives enacted by the city, county, state and federal regulations has determined that the 67th Annual World Championship Tournament will be canceled. Originally scheduled to be held July 11, 12, 18 and 19 at Fiesta Island, the event will not be played.

“The health, safety and well-being of our players, club members and community partners is paramount,” said Jim Thomas, President of OMBAC. “While the decision was difficult, we look forward to working with the City of San Diego and the leaders of the region in bringing back our events in a safe manner.”
