David Gilmour and Roger Waters have had a tumultuous relationship for decades, mostly due to the latter's outspoken political views. But is there any way the former Pink Floyd bandmates would share the stage again? According to Gilmour, "absolutely not."

The guitarist didn't hesitate with his answer when asked by The Guardian. “I tend to steer clear of people who actively support genocidal and autocratic dictators like [Vladimir] Putin and [president of Venezuela Nicolás] Maduro,” he explained. “Nothing would make me share a stage with someone who thinks such treatment of women and the LGBT community is OK.”

That being said, Gilmour added that he would “love to be back on stage with [deceased Pink Floyd keyboardist] Rick Wright, who was one of the gentlest and most musically gifted people I’ve ever known.”

Earlier this week, Gilmour's "dream" came true when Pink Floyd sold their back catalog to Sony for a whopping $400 million. "To be rid of the decision-making and the arguments that are involved with keeping it going is my dream,” he said in an interview just last month. “I am not interested in that from a financial standpoint. I’m only interested in it from getting out of the mud bath that it has been for quite a while.”

Gilmour released Luck and Strange, his first solo album in nine years, last month. He's currently on his first tour in eight years, where fans can expect to hear Pink Floyd songs (just not these ones).
