Adorable Pug Alert! Poncho came to The Rescued Dog from the Humane Society of Imperial County in February 2018.
He and his lady friend Lucy were used as breeding partners by a backyard breeder in Brawley, but they managed to escape and make their way to HSOIC, where TRD gladly picked them up and whisked them away to San Diego. Poncho is a quintessential pug: he is funny, affectionate, and a champion napper. Considering that up until his time with TRD he was an outdoor dog, Poncho figured out potty training quickly. He is also a ladies' man, and currently lives with a different female pug (don't worry--we have had him neutered, so his breeding days are over!) Poncho has never met a human he doesn't think is worth snuggling with. This guy is a hilarious, loving, easy-going dude. We estimate Poncho's age to be around 6 years. He weighs in at 21 pounds, and he's fit as a fiddle and ready for a forever family that will treat him like the family member he deserves to be.
