The DSC Show for Thursday 5/9/19: Ice In Our Pants, Cheating Resolution, BTS Sammy Hagar Drama and more!
Listen to the podcast below.
Here are some of the things we learned today on The DSC Show on KGB.
If there’s no one else in your house, do you still close the bathroom door? Sarah - leaves it half open - just in case. Ruth and Boyer live alone, so no. Dave and Emily - always, always close it. Poor Emily grew up in a house with NO BATHROOM DOOR. Chainsaw and Dave both admit to peeing in the backyard, so what the heck?!
The Chula Vista Little League, DSC sponsored, American League Yankees beat the Cubs 12-1! There was great pitching and great hitting. Congrats, Team! They play again on Saturday and are in first place!
DSC Cheating Scandal - Ruth writes down everything during the 'Boyer vs The Team' game. She uses the info for the daily blog which you're reading right now. Game Rule is - no writing during any game except for the scorekeeper. So we had to determine what the punishment should be for The Team. We ended up giving Boyer 6 wins and took away our 3 wins. That makes the score: Boyer - 17.5 to Team - 0 while Neither has 11. Ugh. Will The Team be able to pull out a win by the end of the year? Time will tell.
Text from Ali to Dave; "Well, it looks like I’m graduating Magna Cum Laude." Holy Cow! So proud of her. Graduation is tomorrow in AZ. Congrats, Al!
If you have no health insurance or your insurance doesn't cover it, you can get a free mammogram and screening at Petco Park on Saturday, May 11, from 8 am to 3 pm. The San Diego Padres and Padres Foundation are partnering with Susan G. Komen San Diego to provide the free service.
At some point during the show today, Boyer declared himself the "Lord of Santee." Wonder if Clint will agree to be "Lady of Santee?"

Drama broke out last night at the Sammy Hagar concert at iHeartMedia Theatre in Burbank.
Vic Johnson, the lead guitarist, fell eight steps down - right when he was getting on the stage at the start of the show. He might have broken his ankle or sprained it at the very least. But he played hurt and no one could tell the difference. What a professional!
In case you didn’t know, Dave hosted the event to help promote Sammy’s new album with The Circle. He introduced the band and interviewed them in between songs. Dave said the audience and the fans were the best part of the show! We're so proud of him - he did a fantastic job. He said he was really nervous, but you couldn't tell at all.
There's no video of the event, but lots of pics right here. Plus, three music videos of Sammy Hagar and his awesome new band The Circle!

Yes, Moms Really Do Love Getting Flowers and a Card for Mother's Day
In case you forgot, Mother's Day is THIS Sunday. Two different surveys just came out that looked into what moms REALLY want for Mother's Day. A survey by YouGov.com found the top ten things moms want this year are:
- Flowers
- a spa day
- a card
- a day to themselves
- something sentimental
- a day with no chores
- jewelry
- Something homemade
- candy
- clothes
The second survey by Groupon found the top things moms want are:
- A nice meal at a restaurant
- flowers
- a card
- something their child made them
- Something sentimental
- perfume
- jewelry
- clothes
- a massage
- a spa package
So a spa day, jewelry, and clothes also made both lists. The first survey also looked at WHO we're giving presents to. And 65% of adults plan to give at least one woman in their life a gift this year.
